  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup aquafaba (the liquid from a can of chickpeas)
  • 1 cup vegan chocolate chips


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vegan butter until creamy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and aquafaba to the butter mixture, and mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
